Jess's Story
"I was blessed with a wonderful family and an awesome childhood. Alcohol wasn't a part of my life until I reached the age of 20. I fell in love with it immediately and the lifestyle as well. Around the age of 25, I started realizing how miserable my desire for alcohol was making me. I had left God and alcohol began to be the number one priority in every decision I made. Friends, family, and work associates all approached me about the problem but my pride wouldn't allow me to ask for help.
On September 10, 2008 I finally gave up and found myself at Purple's door step. While I was there I walked through fears, doubt, guilt, and was taught how to let go and let God. I learned how cunning, baffling, and powerful this disease is. I learned trust, patience, and how to be open and honest with people in my life. Purple gave me the tools to save my life and I'm forever grateful to the staff and what this organization stands for."
